THEÂ PROJECT IS STUDENT RUN, BUT YOUR SUPPORT WOULD BE AMAZING
All kids need is a little help, a little hope, and someone who believes in them.

ADMINISTRATORS
Start by approving the project when it is presented to you. This will demonstrate to the school community that better mental health is a priority for everyone and empower students to embrace positive change. Encourage teachers and staff to enthusiastically support your school's student ambassador(s). Check in with your students about how the project is progressing periodically throughout the year.
TEACHERS
Do as little or as much as you like to collaborate with your student on the week's campaign. Campaigns will be run about 4 - 8 times a year. You will be provided easy ways to reinforce the messaging of the week, and it is entirely your choice to participate in your classroom. If inspired by the topic, all types of engagement are welcome and very appreciated. Please let us know if you have ideas or questions.
PARENTS
If your child is a student ambassador, help them stay on track, brainstorm ways to get additional support from community organizations and local businesses. If your child is a student at a school running The Helium Project, please ask them questions about the campaign and use it as a jumping off point to talk about general wellness and life skills in your home.
STUDENT AMBASSADOR TRAINING
Students will receive a one hour training session prior to September, so that everything is all set to go when school starts. You can click below to review the type of training students will receive. This may be amended and adjusted as WE learn more, but you can get an idea by clicking on the link below.
We know ease of use is vital to the success of the project. In addition to the training session, students will receive lots of support, reminders and encouragement throughout the year.
